KOMPAN the world’s largest playground company is expanding operations to Pflugerville, TX.
KOMPAN is dedicating itself to bringing even more innovative, safe, and engaging playgrounds and fitness equipment to the Americas in the years to come.
Tacoma, WA – After years of continual growth and a desire to expand activities in the Americas, KOMPAN has decided to establish its Operations Headquarters in Pflugerville, TX.
“Texas has consistently been ranked as one of the top states in the nation for doing business for the past several years, so this was a relatively easy decision when you look at growth and the economic prospects in this area,” said Jose Antonio Moreno Toscano, KOMPAN CEO of the Americas. Within Texas, there are very few areas that have the potential and attractiveness that Pflugerville offers from both a geographical and economic development perspective.”
To best serve parks and schools in communities across North America the new Operations Headquarters will allow KOMPAN to start its production facility in the US and include positions in executive management, architecture and design, sales and marketing and logistics.
In addition to the benefits of new jobs and tax revenue for the city, Pflugerville’s 24 existing parks will receive a dramatic upgrade through an investment of up to $125,000 annually in new, state-of-the-art KOMPAN playground equipment. The average age of Pflugerville’s city park playground equipment is more than 11 years. Pfluger Park is the city’s largest park—and also has the highest usage—and its playground equipment is 19 years old.
In order to maintain high quality service standards, KOMPAN will operate from both its west coast office in Tacoma, WA and the new Pflugerville location. “We are expanding our playground equipment line with new offerings like Organic ROBINIA made from Robinia wood and MOMENTS School Age which offers challenging activities like high adventure zip-lines. We have also just introduced our patent-pending outdoor fitness system which combines fitness equipment with an integrated training app and an onsite trainer program,” Jose Antonio Moreno Toscano states. “The Pflugerville location will help bring new efficiencies in KOMPAN services, products and distribution.” KOMPAN expects the office to be operational from the summer of 2016.
